Line 4/Line 6 > Tan Son Nhat Station (Ga Tân Sơn Nhất)
Tan Son Nhat Station (Ga Tân Sơn Nhất) is a planned station on Line 4 and Line 6 of the HCMC Metro. The station serves Terminal 1 and 2 of Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN).
Tan Son Nhat Station is one of two stations planned for the airport (along with T3 Station). There is a proposal to demolish and rebuild T1 after Long Thanh International Airport becomes operational. This would provide an opportune time to build the metro station.
Tan Son Nhat Station is planned to be underneath the carpark in front of the International Terminal (T2).
The original plan was for Tan Son Nhat to be served by Line 4B. This was to be a branch line that would have run between Line 5 and Line 4. The system map at the Line 1 stations still show this previous line.

The Line 4B route was planned before it was known that Terminal 3 was going to be built. T3 broke ground on 24 December 2022 and was officially opened on 30 April 2025.
The new masterplan has now turned Line 6 into a circle line and replaces some of the stations that would have been on Line 4B. Line 6 will connect with Line 2 at Ba Queo and with the Thu Thiem – Long Airport International Airport Line at Phu Huu Station.
The other major change from the original masterplan was been to reroute Line 4 to Tan Son Nhat. This means that Tan Son Nhat will have a direct connection to Ben Thanh Station in the middle of Ho Chi Minh City via Line 4.
The new alignments mean that SGN Airport will be served by two lines and have two separate stations.
