HCMC to redraw Thu Thiem plan for new administrative center, metro link – [03/03/26]
“HCMC will revise the master plan of the Thu Thiem New Urban Area through 2040 to build a political and administrative center, and a central square, and adjust the alignment of Metro Line 7, according to the city government.”

HCMC’s Metro Line 7 to pass through new admin center in Thu Thiem – [27/02/26]
“Under the decision issued by the HCMC People’s Committee, the section of Metro Line 7 connecting from Thu Thiem 4 Bridge will follow Bui Thien Ngo Street and run along To Huu Street, instead of Tran Bach Dang Street as previously planned, before merging into Tran Nao Street. Several station locations will be adjusted accordingly.

The realignment is aimed at ensuring direct access to the new political and administrative center planned for construction in the Thu Thiem New Urban Area. The center will cover 7.84 hectares, with its frontage along To Huu Street facing the central square.”
