Line 3B of the HCMC Metro is a proposed metro line from Cong Hoa Roundabout – Nguyen Thi Minh Khai – Xo Viet Nghe Tinh – Highway No.13rd – Hiep Binh Phuoc.
Total length: 12.2 km (9.1 km underground and 3.1 km elevated).
Number of station: 10 (8 underground stations and 2 elevated stations).
The media is referring to this as Line 3, which makes more sense. Currently Line 3A is the western extension of Line 1, but the metro authority are still referring to both lines as Line 3A and Line 3B. I will use Line 3B here until it is officially updated.

“On December 31, the HCMC People’s Committee approved Masterise Group Joint Stock Company to conduct surveys, research, and submit investment proposals for Metro Line 3 (An Ha–Hiep Binh Phuoc), using the company’s own funding.”
