Tan Cang Station

Tan Cang Station is located in Binh Thanh District, next to the Saigon Bridge (Cầu Sài Gòn) and the Vo Nguyen Giap Highway. It is the second elevated station and one of two stations located in Binh Thanh District.

Tan Cang Station is near Vinhomes Central Park and Landmark 81 (the tallest building in Ho Chi Minh City).

There is a pedestrian bridge on the north side of the station that crosses Dien Bien Phu Street.

There is no pedestrian bridge across the Vo Nguyen Giap Highway. Pedestrians have to walk around the station and under the bridge to get to the Vinhomes Central Park area.

Walking from Tan Cang Station to the Vinhomes Central Park area is an ugly and stressful walk. Considering how big the Central Park residential area is, this needs to be fixed.

Tan Cang is a unique station on Line 1 as it has 4 platforms. Platforms 1 and 2 are for Ben Thanh, and platforms 3 and 4 are for Suoi Tien Terminal. The extra platforms are built to be able to start services from Tan Cang.

Tan Cang Station will eventually be an interchange station for Line 5. The announcements on the train mention this, even though Line 5 hasn’t started construction.
